Verse of The Week (and Paraphrase)

Psalm 150

Praise the Lord
Praise God in His sanctuary
Praise Him in His mighty heavens
Praise Him for His mighty deeds
Praise Him in accordance with His excellent greatness

Praise Him with trumpet sounds
Praise Him with lute and harp
Praise Him with tambourine and dancing
Praise Him with strings and pipes
Praise Him with sounding cymbals
Praise Him with loud clashing symbols
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord
Praise the Lord

To help with my memorization I paraphrased to allow the definition to burrow further into my head and heart.

Psalm 150 (Paraphrased)

Anything that breathes is commanded to praise God. It is commanded to praise Him with anything that can be used to praise. The instruments, trumpet, lute, harp, strings, pipes and cymbals may well give we, the instrumentalists the example to leave nothing restrained, no stone unturned when offering our all in praise. For He is the Lord in and out of the sanctuary, over heaven and earth, mighty in His works and displaying His greatness with excellence.

Amen brother, praise works better than lamented prayers
