Weekly Bible Memory and Meditation

Ephesians 2:8-10

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith -- and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God -- not by works, so that no one can boast.  For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

1.  If we are saved by grace through faith and not by works, then how come we can't pledge faith in God and go live how we want to in our former sin?

2.  What are some of the good "works" that you keep trying to do in order to please God and earn salvation instead of accepting His free gift of grace?

3.  What are some of the ways that Christians "boast" about their religion in today's world?  Do you boast about your religion?

4.  Do you believe God will love you, accept you, or save you more by doing more things for Him?

5.  If we are God's handiwork, or His masterpiece, how can we live differently to showcase His work?

6.  What are some of the good works that God has preordained you to do?

7.  If God has scheduled certain good works for you to do even before you were born, how can you find out what those good works are?
