Weekly Bible Memory and Meditation

Mark 12:29-31 (In response to the question “What is the most important commandment?”

“The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

1. In all of the good things (commandments) that I am trying to do/keep, is loving the Lord with everything my number 1 priority?

2. Do I love God more than my spouse? My kids?

3. What are practical ways that I can love God with ALL my heart, mind, soul, & strength?

4. Do I focus on conquering sin more than serving and loving God?

5. Who is my neighbor? My brother in Christ, or everyone that I come in contact with?

6. Do I care and serve my “neighbor” as well as I care and serve myself?

7. To what lengths will I go out of my way to love God and my neighbor? At what point do I cease loving God? Loving my neighbor?
