James 1:2-4
"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."
1. On a scale of 1-10 (1 being least/10 being most) how many trials do I honestly face in my life?
2. Do I desire a happy life or a joy-filled life? What is the difference?
3. Am I steadfast (strong and undeterred) in my faith?
4. What grade would my typical response to trials give to my steadfastness?
5. It's not a matter of "if" but "when" I meet trials. How should knowing this prepare my attitude when responding to trials?
6. Which is more difficult; standing out as a Christian in a place like Indonesia, India or Iraq, or in a place like Dallas?
7. Letting steadfastness have it's full effect is the idea of daily conforming to the image of Christ. Considering the accompanying tests and trials, do I sincerely desire this?
